Sixth Form Curriculum
Learning in the Sixth Form is independent and investigative. Lessons are delivered by subject specialists and it is de rigour for students to vocally and actively get involved in each lesson. We follow linear A Level courses and believe that this approach creates the space and time for proper reflection and depth of learning. The A Level provision here is rich and includes not only A Level subjects that our students undertake but the super-curricular provision, which is designed to facilitate learning beyond the curriculum.
Students in the Sixth Form engage with contemporary debates, partnerships within and beyond the local community, and ‘big’ thinking – personally, socially and intellectually – and this is the core of our Sixth Form ‘Perspectives’ programme. Students have the opportunity to hear from a wide range of leading thinkers and experts who come to deliver our Sixth Form Lecture Series.
