STAHS Children's Book Festival - St Albans High School for Girls

STAHS Children’s Book Festival

Saturday 8 June 2024 10.00 - 17.00

The STAHS Children’s Book Festival has gone from strength to strength since its 2019 debut, with families flocking to see the likes of David Baddiel, Simon Pegg, Onjali Rauf and Rob Biddulph in action. Book signings and photo opportunities follow interactive talks and storytelling sessions, giving young bookworms the opportunity to meet and engage with their literary heroes.

Other authors that have so far graced the BookFest stage include Jonathan Stroud, Christopher Edge, Nick Butterworth, SF Said, Robin Stevens and Ross Welford. Set in the idyllic grounds of STAHS Prep in Wheathampstead, the festival offers an adventure playground, art and craft activities and a well-stocked food court, plus a host of additional attractions unique to each festival, with last year’s highlight being a Spitfire flypast!

More than 1,000 visitors joined us in June 2023, and when the festival returns for its fourth outing this summer we expect it to be the biggest – and best – yet!
