Scholarships at 16+
At STAHS, Sixth Form scholarships go beyond recognising ability. They are awarded to students who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, creativity and a genuine commitment to school life. Whether excelling academically, creatively, in sport or through leadership, a Sixth Form scholarship offers both challenge and opportunity at a pivotal stage of education. Scholarships are open to both internal and external applicants.
Information regarding scholarships for 2027 will be available soon. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact admissions@stahs.org.uk

Principal’s and Co‑curricular Awards
Our Principal’s and Co-curricular Awards recognise pupils who have demonstrated exceptional achievement and commitment during their STAHS Senior School years. These awards celebrate both outstanding academic performance and significant co-curricular success, supporting students as they progress into STAHS Sixth.
The Principal’s Award is awarded to STAHS Senior pupils in Year 11 who have consistently achieved in the top 10% of the year group cohort based on performance in end-of-year assessments in Years 9 and 10 and on mock exams in Year 11. The Principal’s Award comes with a 50% fee remission for Sixth Form study at STAHS Senior.
Co-curricular awards are offered to girls in Year 11 for the following reasons:
- Being selected to perform at national level in a core, school team sport (netball, football, lacrosse, cricket)
- Being in the top 20% of their year group in GCSE Music when they completed Further Music at the end of Year 10 (based on raw marks)
- Being in the top 20% of their year group in their GCSE Drama coursework (based on raw marks).
Co-curricular awards come with a 10% fee remission in addition to any scholarship that a pupil may hold but are not available to those in receipt of a Principal’s Award.
