Gender equality in the workplace is an important topic – not only for current pupils at STAHS, but also for our wider School community.

On Saturday, 6 November, STAHS took its first step to addressing the gender gap and empowering everyone – regardless of gender – to acknowledge key issues in the debate and to start bringing meaningful changes to workplaces, by hosting its first symposium on the topic.

On equal terms: working together to achieve gender equality was a half-day conference bringing together a diverse range of speakers, including alumni, parents and friends of the School. Together they examined a range of key topics, including peer learning and support, the gender pay gap and increasing the number of women on boards.

The event was well attended by alumni, current parents, staff and pupils – both from STAHS and St Albans School – who left feeling empowered to make changes, in their workplaces, career journeys and professional relationships.
