Modern Foreign Languages
When learning Modern Foreign Languages, we invite students to take risks in a positive and stimulating learning environment, and focus on developing a high level of communication skills and linguistic confidence in the target language.
Lessons heighten the girls’ cultural awareness of the world in which they live and help them develop tolerance, flexibility and understanding towards various cultures. Study visits, exchanges, conferences and regular contact with native speakers introduce girls first hand to different cultures and languages. We aim to make the learning experience both intellectually rigorous through grammatical concepts and enjoyable, interesting and relevant. As teachers, we constantly seek to improve our methods, resources and materials and keep abreast of developments to improve our own language competency and inspire our students.
