Our own catering staff prepare a wide choice of nutritious food, using fresh produce where possible and including vegetarian options for the girls to eat in the dining room. Some girls opt to bring in a packed lunch which may also be eaten in the dining room.
English at STAHS is an exciting subject both inside and outside the classroom. We place literature and the love of stories at the heart of our curriculum, encouraging pupils to read, write and think for themselves as they work with texts from a broad variety of historical eras, geographical locations and literary genres.
Mathematics at STAHS is studied not just because it is the structure underlying geometry, science and symmetry, but also for its intrinsic beauty.
Pupils are taught in an environment which strives to develop each girl’s ability to its maximum. Lessons are fast moving and challenging and aim to inspire girls with enthusiasm for the subject. We build on the girls’ self-confidence, so that they can recognise and celebrate their own successes.
Daily coaches run from surrounding districts in the catchment area. The schedule varies according to demand. Late coaches run Monday – Thursday at 5.10 pm to enable girls to attend one of the many after school activities on offer.
