A Level Results 2019

St Albans High School for Girls (STAHS) is celebrating fantastic A Level results, with 90% of pupils achieving grades A*-B and 97% grades A*-C. 24% of girls gained two or more A* grades, while 13% gained at least three A* grades.

Summary of A Level results as they stand:

  • 69% of all grades are A*/A
  • 90% of all grades are A*/B
  • 97.3% of all grades are A*/C
  • 100% of students holding offers from Oxbridge achieved the required grades
  • 100% of students holding offers for medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry achieved the required grades
  • 88% of students got into their chosen universities

Jenny Brown, headmistress at STAHS, commented: “We congratulate our year 13 leavers on their excellent A level results. We celebrate the hard work and talents of individual pupils and the warm commitment of the whole School community which supported them. It is a wonderful reflection of pupils’ potential. These strong and hardworking young women leave with minds trained on their next scholarly adventure and with all the energetic spirit and integrity that made them such a fun year-group to work with.
