Posted on 16 August 2018

St Albans High School for Girls (STAHS) is celebrating fantastic A Level results, with 98% of girls achieving grades A* – C, and almost half (47%) achieving straight A or A* grades.

24% of girls gained two or more A* grades, while 13% gained at least three A* grades.

Summary of A Level results as they stand:

  • 69% of all grades are A*/A (a 12% point increase on 2017)
  • 92% of all grades are A*/B
  • 98% of all grades are A*/C

Jenny Brown, headmistress at STAHS, commented: “We are delighted that our students have achieved such strong results, which are a fitting reflection of their hard work and talent. We’re incredibly grateful to the dedication of our staff, the girls and their parents for all their support. More importantly than the grades themselves, girls are leaving us with enquiring minds, big hearts and a sense of adventure whether they’re heading off to university, art college or a gap year. We look forward to seeing what this next generation of strong young women will achieve.”
