St Albans High School (STAHS) congratulates Year 11 on their GCSE results today as they look forward to an exciting two years ahead in Sixth Form.  Awarded at the end of an unprecedented year in education, these outcomes reflect many years hard work and dedication to their studies.

In line with the announcement by the Secretary of State for Education on 17 August 2020, GCSE grades awarded are the Centre Assessment Grade (CAG) or the adjusted result calculated by the exam board – whichever is the higher grade. The School was diligent and clinical in preparing CAGs and followed the protocols put in place by Ofqual to the letter.  A full summary of GCSE results can be seen here.

Amber Waite, STAHS Head, commented: “I am delighted that STAHS pupils have had such positive outcomesThe enthusiasm and diligence they demonstrated during lockdown will stand them in great stead for the next two years as they move up to the challenges and opportunities of Sixth Form life. We look forward to welcoming our current students, along with new students joining us from other schools, to be the first cohort of Sixth Formers in our stunning new Sixth Form centre, opening for the start of term next monthweek.
