Our Prep pupils love working as a team as our series of recent team-building days clearly demonstrated. Not only full of fun, these days provide a chance to strengthen friendships and embody our values of inclusivity, aiming high, perseverance, kindness, honesty and embracing new opportunities.
Our Reception pupils enjoyed a themed day of ‘traditional tales’, where they had to work as a team to build bridges sturdy enough to withstand the Three Billy Goats Gruff and negotiate an obstacle course whilst carrying bowls of porridge for Goldilocks! Year 1 had a wonderful time problem solving to build a bridge across a pool of lava and designing lego houses for their toys to live in, and Year 2 tackled a Pocahontas themed scavenger hunt, receiving a special letter to recognise their fantastic team spirit at the end of the day!
Year 3 focused on the extraordinary journey of Nellie Bly, working together on a voyage around the globe, and Year 4 travelled to the Great Plains of America where they had to find and transport water and work on their code breaking skills to uncover the flight details for their journey home.
Year 5 followed in the footsteps of Ranulph Fiennes, making their own igloos and rescuing stranded team-mates, and our Year 6 girls stepped into wartime London, tackling fires and cracking codes as spies.
