Congratulations to Rosie, Year 13, who won this year’s Mary Lucey Research Prize for her entry on the potential for solid state battery technology to revolutionise the electric vehicle industry.

Named after the Head of STAHS between 1966 and 1982, this competition offers Year 13s the opportunity to investigate a question of their choice and write up their findings in the form of an essay or academic paper, after which they present their research in person at our special symposium and awards ceremony.

Sophia and Xanthe were runners up for their work on a rare brain condition and Schopenhauer and Wagner’s operas, respectively. Congratulations too to Bella, who won the popular vote for her entry on the gender gap in US presidential elections.
