The STAHS Hub has been formally opened by the Dean of St Albans, the Very Reverend Jo Kelly-Moore.

In addition to the multi faith prayer space, the Hub is also the base for our nurses, chaplain, counsellors and mental health staff, plus our PSHE and learning support teams.

Head Mrs Waite, Head of School Louisa and Year 10 pupil Fiona addressed parents, governors and external guests at the Hub’s opening, explaining what makes it such a valuable space.

The Dean then concluded the opening ceremony by blessing the Multi Faith Prayer Room.

Fiona said: ‘STAHS Hub enables students to call into one space in school to receive specialist support, whether that be with physical or mental health needs, spiritual nourishment, specialist counselling, learning support or questions about PSHE.

‘At STAHS, as a community, everyone is working to normalise asking for help. Sometimes we don’t have all the answers, sometimes we fail, and sometimes we have to look outside ourselves for help with the next steps. The members of staff found in the Hub are all people who students can turn to for guidance.’
