Our STAHS Festival of Language and Culture drew to a close with a fantastic Cultural Fashion Show in the Sports Hall. Staff and students – including Fusion Dance Club – took to the catwalk in traditional dress in what proved to be a fantastic end to a week of colourful and engaging celebrations.
Highlights of the week included Spanish and German Onatti plays for Years 8 and 9 (which added to the French offering); delicious themed lunches courtesy of the Catering team, which covered the cuisines of Italy, France, Spain, China and Germany (the five languages studied at STAHS); charity stalls offering breaktime snacks from the Middle East and south-east Asia in aid of the Runnymede Trust; a Poetry Slam competition; and a Languages and Journalism talk from BBC Sports journalist, Chris Dennis. What a week!
