Assessment
When selecting students to join STAHS Sixth Form, we look for independence, intellectual curiosity and creativity. We hold an Assessment Day, where students complete online assessments in Vocabulary, Mathematics, Non-Verbal Reasoning and a non-subject specific written paper testing critical thinking and communication.
Candidates are selected for interview on the basis of their performance on Assessment Day and return to STAHS Sixth for an interview with the Head and Head of Sixth Form.
Applicants also indicate their preferred A level subjects during the process. Offers are conditional on achieving our required GCSE grades for chosen subjects – full details are available on our A level subject requirements page.
We require a minimum of Grade 6 in Maths and English, alongside subject-specific GCSE grades for chosen A levels.
