Meet the Higher Education & Careers Team
The Higher Education and Careers teams work throughout the school to enable students to make the right choices as they progress towards the end of school and look ahead to the world beyond STAHS. The Higher Education provision at STAHS is second-to-none in quality. Driven by Helen Monighan, our Director of Careers, and with input from tutors, heads of department and individual teachers, students have access to the very best advice and support around their plans for post-18 education. We encourage our students to be ambitious and realistic and this results in fantastic numbers of our Sixth Formers year-on-year taking up their first-choice university places. For those ambitious to apply to the universities of Oxford or Cambridge, the Oxbridge programme at STAHS provides everything from advice around college and course choice, intensive and extensive interview practice in and out of school and the opportunity to think and reflect academically at an undergraduate level with subject specialists.
Our Head of Careers, Gini Parton, has expertly built brilliant connections with the world of work and our Sixth Formers get to benefit from exposure to high-profile movers and shakers across a plethora of careers.
