Girls are able to engage with the wealth of expertise and enthusiasm that exists amongst the staff body through a series of ‘colloquia’. Each Year 12 colloquium works much like a university supervision rather than as a lesson, providing the girls a clear opportunity to operate at an academically challenging level. Given the similarity to a tutorial Oxbridge candidates will find this particularly useful, but all are encouraged to join in. As the programme of colloquia progresses the girls take increasing ownership of the material discussed. Their own ideas become the most valuable driving force behind stimulating and exciting discussions.
