Meet the Teachers

Staff list

Members of the teaching staff at STAHS are a consistent source of energy, inspiration and focus for our girls. The Director of Sixth and Assistant Head of Sixth fully support and guide the Sixth Form students as they move towards adulthood and the next important stage of their education. Each teacher pursues with enthusiasm the school’s aim to foster a lifelong love of learning, giving every girl individual attention and guidance as she grows physically and intellectually into a young adult. At this stage teachers play a crucial role in helping girls make choices for their higher education. Our teachers’ passion for their subjects, coupled with their expert knowledge and understanding of universities, helps students to identify the courses which are best for them. We offer full support throughout the decision process, including speaker events, information evenings and interview practice, so that each girl can be confident in her decision. Whether preparing girls for exams, inspiring confidence in the arts, or encouraging girls to do their best at sports, our teachers offer one hundred per cent commitment to the school, and recognise the important role they play in ensuring that the school operates according to its values – Scholarship, Adventure and Integrity.
