Information, Communication & Computing Technology
Information, Communication & Computing Technology (ICCT) is more than just a subject at STAHS. It is both an essential support and exciting enabler of everything we do. As a curriculum subject, we use modern approaches, extending beyond any written syllabus to support life-long and independent study, alongside the pleasurable pursuit of personal interests.
Recognising that young people may be increasingly familiar with the functional use of the devices they have access to, we provide the support, opportunities and guidance essential to the exploration of, and curiosity about, the full potential of these tools in developing higher-order thinking and real creativity. We believe that only then can our girls make use of technology selectively, effectively and for ultimate benefit. As a department, we consider the opportunity to think about, discuss and evaluate the impact of technological changes on their futures – at individual and global levels – to be of the utmost importance for our girls.
