Jane was schooled in Leeds, studied at at Jesus College Oxford, and took a Master of Philosophy in Anglo-Irish Literature at Trinity College Dublin. She has worked in both state-maintained and independent schools; as an advisor specialising in gifted education for Camden Local Authority; and on strategy for the UK’s Department for Education flagship London Challenge. She also spent time as an independent consultant, delivering contracts in 21st century professional development, gifted education, and online pedagogies. She started her career teaching English and her passion for her subject remains undimmed. In her spare time you will find her at the theatre or cinema, on a tennis court, or with her nose in a book.
