Mrs Kathryn Gorman

Deputy Head Curriculum

After reading English at university, Kathryn left the UK for rural Japan where she developed and delivered teacher-training programmes, studied Japanese language and fell in love with a beautiful and inspiring culture. On her return, Kathryn taught in the state-maintained sector in Yorkshire and then Newham, in the East End of London. Since moving to STAHS, Kathryn has held a variety of positions, most recently Head of English. An MEd at Cambridge afforded the opportunity to indulge in research and learning and she is very much enjoying the challenges of her current role as Deputy Head Curriculum. Away from school, Kathryn has two young daughters and enjoys spending time with them, friends and family.
