Gymnastic and Dance display celebrates female leadership

Posted on 29 March 2019

STAHS annual Gymnastics and Dance Display took ‘Doyenne’ as its theme this year to celebrate myriad female leaders in their fields. Prep and Senior pupils threw themselves into gymnastic, dance and movement routines inspired by and paying tribute to host of female achievers including soul singer Aretha Frank, artist Judy Chicago, gymnast Gabby Douglas, aviator Amelia Earhart, performer Beyonce, and the women past and present of the armed forces. And that’s just to name just a few. We were treated to 26 individual and group performances of astonishing skill, incredible energy and thrilling imagination. Involving over 120 pupils supported by 12 PE staff, it was a glorious demonstration of girl power.
