GCSE Results 2018

Posted on 23 August 2018

St Albans High School for Girls (STAHS) is celebrating great exam success in GCSEs this year, with 96% of girls achieving grades A*-B / 9-6.

Jenny Brown, headmistress at STAHS, said: “We’re delighted with this year’s results, which reflect the hard work put in by our students and teachers. What we celebrate even more than the raft of A*s and sensational number of Level 9s, is supporting our girls to tackle their exams with due perspective and plenty of fun. A key result for us is that they continue to develop a love of learning and a sense of adventure.”

The results as they stand include:

  • 84% A*-A / 9-7
  • 96% A*-B / 9-6
  • 35% of entries in new GCSEs with number grades scored a top Level 9
  • 42% of all Maths entries scored top level 9
