Music Scholarships are available annually, to girls of outstanding musical ability and achievement.
Awards will be made to candidates who demonstrate significant skill and a very high level of proficiency in two instruments: one of which they should have reached at least Grade 5.
Our Music Scholars participate fully in the musical life of the school. They are positive role models and represent the school in their chosen instruments throughout their time here. We aim to encourage and enthuse our scholars through an individually tailored programme which develops them into well-rounded musicians.
All our scholars participate in our Chamber Music Programme, receiving specialist coaching on a weekly basis. Scholars are encouraged to develop their solo performance skills through performing in the Scholars’ Concerts as well as through masterclasses and competitions. Scholars are also encouraged to develop their orchestral skills in the Symphony Orchestra under the guidance of our Conductor-in-Residence Robert Hodge.
