Welcome from the Head of Wheathampstead House

Children need to be happy to thrive and flourish and our aim here is to create an environment where your daughter can do just that. Our unique location in 18 acres of parkland in the lovely village of Wheathampstead, gives her the freedom to grow and develop, safely and securely, in the warmth and support of this very special school.

Here she has access to state of the art facilities including a science laboratory, an ICT suite, dedicated classrooms for Music and Art, as well as a very popular library. Her experience here will not be confined to the academic; she will develop a love of learning and an ability to think independently and critically that will serve her throughout her life.

A rich variety of extra-curricular activities enable her to explore and exploit an endless horizon of skills and interests. Her confidence and self esteem will blossom in the warm and welcoming atmosphere that we work so hard to maintain and of which we are so proud.

We foster strong links between home and school so that, with parents, we can ensure the very best educational provision for each girl.

Wheathampstead is ideally placed for easy access to the A1 and we currently have 315 girls aged between 4 and 11, who come to us from as far afield as North London, Luton and Hertford, as well as the local towns and villages.

I truly believe that you will find no better preparation for the world of tomorrow for your daughter than the education on offer here at Wheathampstead House.

I extend a very warm invitation to you and your family to come and visit us. Come and meet the girls and staff who make our school such a special place!

You are welcome to contact us at any time to arrange a visit. We look forward to welcoming you.
