Head's Welcome

We are an independent day school for girls aged 4 - 18 situated five minutes from the centre of St Albans. Every year we are delighted to welcome new Year 12s who settle quickly into our warm and inclusive community. We have high expectations of our students, challenging and supporting them to do their very best. Experts in girls’ education, we encourage them to explore, to innovate and to take risks. We are proud of our track record of excellent A Level results – the overwhelming majority of our students achieve places at selective universities – but our Sixth Form is so much more than academic work. We offer a wealth of opportunities for girls to get involved, to try new experiences, to take on leadership roles, and to have fun. I hope you will visit us soon, talk with our teachers and students, and discover for yourself the vibrant buzz of the High School.
