Curriculum for Years 7 to 9

In Key Stage 3, girls study the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science as well as Art and Design, Design and Technology, Geography, History, ICT, Music, Physical Education and Religious Studies. All girls study French and Latin up to the end of Year 9, picking up an additional language in the form of Spanish or German at the end of Year 8. Drama and PSHCE are taught in House Tutor groups. Science is taught as single subjects by subject specialists from Year 8.

In Year 9 girls begin to consider their GCSE subject choices and regular consultation takes place between students, pastoral staff, subject teacher and parents in order to ensure that your daughter retains a breadth of academic experience, exploiting her strengths but at the same time leaving open a range of options for the future.
