Music School facilities

The Music School, Ringwood, is housed in a dedicated building which is to be extended as part of our new Performing Arts Centre.
Music facilities at the High School include:
- classroom and keyboard/computer suite running 'Sibelius'
- 8 instrumental teaching/rehearsal rooms
- a large self-contained classroom with its own suite of keyboards/computers running 'Sibelius' and 'Cubase'
- adjoining 'Sound Studio' which is equipped with Apple computers running 'Pro-Tools' and 'Garage Band'
The new Performing Arts development will enable the creation of a new soundproofed percussion studio, more teaching rooms in Ringwood and a new performing hall and music rehearsing facilities.
The School has an extensive stock of instruments including:
- a full set of well-maintained orchestral strings (all available for hire)
- harps
- woodwind and brass instruments (including Cor Anglais and mini bassoons)
- tuned percussion (marimba/xylophone/vibraphone/glockenspiel), tap and pedal timpani
- several drum kits
- a De Blaise harpsichord
