Beyond the Curriculum

“Educating the mind without educating the heart, is no education at all”
Aristotle
The number of clubs and activities open to our students is boundless – if a club does not exist someone is guaranteed to start one! From knitting to football, trampolining to Mandarin, girls can be hard pressed to fit it all in! They might find themselves in the Sports Complex, learning judo or fencing or taking part in inter-House badminton. Or on the other hand they might be in the Hall singing their hearts out as part of the school choir, or in Ringwood learning to play the double bass or even the harp! In Michaelmas and Lent their free time may be taken up with rehearsals for the school play or the inter-House drama competition and then there is all that stick work for lacrosse! One thing for sure is that they are never bored!
Extra-curricular activities
The School runs a programme of activities at lunch time, before and after school, and we hope that as many girls as possible will want to participate in these. Most activities are time-tabled on Monday to Thursday evenings to enable girls to travel home on a 'late' coach.
