Oxbridge

For those girls who are aiming for a place at Oxford or Cambridge, we offer advice at a number of levels.

Our Oxbridge Co-ordinator works with our expert teaching staff in all departments to provide appropriate support and preparation. This work is enhanced by our two Oxbridge Governors. Dr Don Porcelli, St Anne's College, Oxford, has taken a leading role in our Admissions Conferences in 2009 and 2010, in addition to supporting interview preparation. Dorothy Henderson, Newnham College, Cambridge, has supported the 2011 Cambridge Admissions Conference and interview preparation in November 2010 and 2011.

STAHS hosts Women in Science Conference

The School was delighted to have been asked by Balliol College, Oxford, to host a Women in Science and Mathematics Conference aimed at encouraging more young women to consider studying these fields at university and the career opportunities this would open up for them.

On Wednesday 16 November, staff and students from more than 15 schools across Hertfordshire, joined lecturers, graduates and undergraduates from Balliol College to talk about opportunities to study Science and Mathematics at Oxford before breaking into smaller subject specific discussion groups.
