Higher Education

A Higher Education Information Evening is held in Year 12. All girls then have a personal careers interview with the Head of Sixth Form or Assistant Head of Sixth Form, as a result of which an action plan is drawn up. Girls benefit from a well-stocked Careers Room, which, alongside up to date prospectuses, magazines and books, offers access to a range of careers specific computer programmes, such as ECCTIS, Keyclips, Kudos and the Careers Information Database.
All girls undertake work experience at the end of Year 12, a valuable opportunity to gain experience in an area of interest for their futures. Year 12 girls have talks with former students, a Gap Year talk and a visit to a UCAS Careers Convention. They may also attend University Open Days.
In Year 13 girls are offered 'mock' interviews with Governors and other experienced external interviewers.
