Herein magazine 2009 - Editors' Letter

A Magazine Committee produces the School Magazine, largely in-house and using the latest technology.

"For the first time, the editorship of our annual Herein magazine has been shared – something we're both very glad of! We've also had a bigger committee than ever before, working on a special issue to mark the centenary of St Albans High School for Girls' move to Townsend Avenue.

"As usual, the magazine is full of stories about the past year's achievements and highlights from the Senior School and Wheathampstead House, plus samples of work from girls in every year. In keeping with the centenary theme, there are also some special articles and interviews which give you an insight into life at the school past, present and future.

"We're very proud of everyone's work, but we feel that a couple of people deserve a special mention. Firstly, thanks to Mrs Ramsay, Miss Evans and Mrs Ross, who have all helped us no end, and Mrs Rose of Wheathampstead House for co-ordinating that section; within the committee we'd also like to thank Gaby Day for taking responsibility for the bulk of the research work."

We hope you enjoy the magazine!
