We hope you enjoy using the StAHS web site. If you have trouble viewing content and wish to increase the size of objects on your screen, you can zoom in to get a clearer view.

To do this (Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome) hold down the CTRL key and press the + (plus) key­ until the objects reach the size you are happy with. To zoom back out, hold down CTRL and press the – (minus) key.

In Internet Explorer, you can also access the zoom settings from the Status Bar, which can be found at the bottom of the window. Click on the ‘100%’ or image of the Magnifying Glass to cycle between three levels of zoom. You can also click the arrow to bring the full zoom menu up, as below.

Duke of Edinburgh/Far Frontiers

The High School encourages girls from Year 10 upwards to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme. However, in the Sixth Form the Award provides new and exciting experiences. Almost every year there is an opportunity for expeditions abroad. These expeditions tie in with the Far Frontiers scheme, which means that even girls who don't participate in Duke of Edinburgh can participate in this amazing experience.

Past expeditions have included trips to Nepal and Chile, this year girls are going to Mongolia, and next year there is a proposed trip to the Galapagos Islands.
