Old Girls' Association

Pamela Hargreaves
Former Second Mistress and Physics teacher, Mrs Pamela Hargreaves, died on Friday 7 October. Pamela was a member of staff at the High School from 1975 until 1989 and taught Physics for a number of years. She sadly lost her fight with cancer, which had progressed very rapidly, and died in early October. Our thoughts are with her friends and family.
The OGA was founded in 1909 to keep former STAHS pupils in touch with one another and to support the School. There are currently some 2000 members. Old Girls are invited to become members as they leave Year 13 and once they have joined, can enjoy the benefits of our new website-based community, webALUMNUS. By logging onto this secure password-protected website, they are able to maintain and renew friendships, update their details, post news and keep up to date with events held at the High School.
If you are an Old Girl of St Albans High School who is not on our database and would like to be, or you know the whereabouts of a missing Old Girl, please contact the OGA Office for details of how to register with webALUMNUS and renew contact with the OGA.
An elected Old Girl Committee meets regularly at the High School each term. Old Girls' reunions are often set up informally during the year by a dedicated Old Girl herself. Old Girls who left 10 years, 20 years, 30 years etc ago are invited to reunite at the OGA AGM and other events and the school is happy to open up for a tour and trip down memory lane. The Older and Wiser Ladies (OWLs), a group of Old Girls over 55, have established a well-attended annual event held at the High School. All Old Girls receive an annual magazine which is produced by a committed team of members so do please get in touch if you would like to support them or contribute an article.

As an Old Girl you may be interested in the School's Admission process for your daughter or granddaughter; if so, please see details of how to apply under the Admissions section.
Finally, you might wish to support STAHS and would invite you to look at our How to help pages for the different methods of giving.
