Peace One Day

Peace One Day is a non-profitable organisation that was set up by Jeremy Gilley, a film maker, in 1999. The aim of Peace One Day is to have a day of peace, 21st September, where there is a cease-fire and no violence for one day all over the world. After 2 years all the 192 members of the United Nations agreed to have a day of peace on 21st September, which was a remarkable ahcievment that nobody expected.

The aim of Peace One Day is to achieve world peace for one day not just between nations where wars are being fought but also in homes and communities in every day life. Instead of the violence that often goes unnoticed in every day life, it is the aim of the organisation to hold football matches on Peace One Day in every country in the world.... >
