We hope you enjoy using the StAHS web site. If you have trouble viewing content and wish to increase the size of objects on your screen, you can zoom in to get a clearer view.

To do this (Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome) hold down the CTRL key and press the + (plus) key­ until the objects reach the size you are happy with. To zoom back out, hold down CTRL and press the – (minus) key.

In Internet Explorer, you can also access the zoom settings from the Status Bar, which can be found at the bottom of the window. Click on the ‘100%’ or image of the Magnifying Glass to cycle between three levels of zoom. You can also click the arrow to bring the full zoom menu up, as below.

Admissions to StAHS

Entry to the school at any age is by entrance examination/assessment or GCSE results at 16+; Senior School applicants are also invited to school for a group interview which is practical in nature or further oral tests. A report from girls' present schools is requested, except at 4+.

Admissions are normally in September for 4+ (40 places), 5+ or 7+ (approximately 4 places each) for entry to Wheathampstead House, 11+ for the Senior School (96 places) and 16+ for the Sixth Form (approximately 10 places). Examinations and interviews may be arranged for admission to all other age groups if places become vacant.

Entrance examinations are held in the Lent term for admission in the following September.
